With over twenty years experience in the meat business, Chuck is considered one of the foremost authorities on fresh pork and processed meats in the entire country. Chuck is married to Maddie Zimmerman and has two children Rachael and Andrew. Rachael is now in the Medical Field and Andy Is a Petty Officer in the Navy attending Nuclear Power School and is going to have a career as a Sub Mariner on Nuclear Powered Vessels.
For Maddie we can add a granddaughter born in July 2008 named Clarisse!
Chuck lives in Elkins Park Pennsylvania. Some of his interests outside of the food industry are Photography, Scuba Diving, Gardening, Antique Automobiles and Fix It Projects. His personal quote comes from a song written by Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead: "Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places, if you look at it right."

Jerry Blumer - RETIRED

Jerry has been in the meat business for over fifty years! His is the undisputed king of Boxed Beef Sales and he is known (and feared) throughout the country. Jerry and his wife Sylvia live in Jenkintown Pennsylvania and they celebrated their fiftieth anniversary on June 26, 1999. Jerry and Sylvia have three children, Jeff Blumer (married to Kim Blumer), Merle Siegel (married to Wayne Siegel) and Chuck Blumer (see above). Jerry has only one interest outside of the food business, he calls them diamonds and pearls. His diamonds are the children mentioned above and his pearls are his seven grand children.

Larry has enjoyed a tenure in the meat business spanning over thirty years. From Yankee Maid Meat Company to Hygrade Meat Company to Medford and Hatfield Meat Companies and finally to us, Larry brings a professionalism to his position with Charles Blumer Company. One of the things which makes Larry so valuable to us is his winning attitude. He is always willing to do what ever it takes to get the job done. Larry was promoted to Vice President of Sales in December 2001. He and his lovely wife Connie live in Woodbury, New Jersey; has three wonderful daughters and two grandchildren . Larry is very interested in tinkering with Race Cars and is a member of an amateur pit crew for a car that runs in races in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

Rita was the first individual hired by Charles Blumer Company. Chuck had worked with Rita before at another company and realized what an asset she would be. Rita began as our retail merchandiser and did such a great job that she was promoted to sales several years ago. If we have a problem at retail level with one of our larger accounts, Rita always goes out to cover the problem because, quite simply, she is the very best at what she does. Rita and her husband Joe live in North East Philadelphia and they have three grown children and six grandchildren. Rita Loves to shop and to read on the beach. Her favorite places are Ocean City NJ and the Caribbean Islands. She is also an great amateur poet and loves interior decorating.

Maddie Zimmerman - Customer Service

Maddie is Chucks wife. Although her interests lie outside of the food business, she is very supportive of Chuck's business and she does a great job helping out when ever she is asked to. She is a Magna Cum Laud graduate of Penn State University where she hopes to complete her Masters Degree in Social Work. Maddie is an avid exerciser and takes aerobics and Yoga classes several times a week. She loves the outdoors and she loves to be near the water. Maddie has three grown daughters of whom we are very proud. Two of them are Physicians and the third has her nursing degree as well as an MBA. Maddie now has five grandsons! Jacob, Michael, Simon, Nicholas and Jack!
